Purpose of Trust Fund :
The aim of the fund is to address disadvantages, notably by supporting causes which are less likely to raise funds from public subscriptions. Both the UK and overseas fund policy is directed largely at supporting work at community level.

- Asylum seekers and refugees
- Community Based Initiatives for Young People Aged 16-25
- Homelessness
- Penal Affairs
- Overseas development
A note on community based initiatives for disadvantaged young people aged 16-25. The Trustees wish to hear from projects which develop the skills of young people helping them to improve their employment prospects. For example providing work placements, courses leading to NVQs, motivational and life skills classes.
There is also a summer playscheme funding programme (priority given to groups working with BRM children).

Restrictions:
Grants are rarely given to well funded national charities. Fund policy is directed largely at supporting work at a community level within the categories of interest stated. Preference is given to charities with an income of less that £200,000 per year. No grants to individuals.
